Operation Christmas Child

September, 2016 – We are so excited to begin another year of being a collection center for Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes. We love this ministry because of the participation of Spring Baptist Church members so that children around the world will hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. They rise to the occasion and send out hundreds of boxes from Spring Baptist, and they volunteer to man our collection center to receive shoe boxes, pack them in larger shipping containers, and load the trucks to send them on to regional centers. Some of our members also volunteer in one of the regional collection centers.

If you are interested in volunteering to man the collection center at Spring Baptist Church, contact the Church office at 281-353-5448 and tell the receptionist. For information about volunteering at a regional center, click here.

Meanwhile, it's time for everyone to begin preparing their shoe boxes for this year! Happy packing!

2015 – Our first effort at being a relay center for the collection of Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes is behind us, and it was a wonderful, fantastic, rewarding experience. The participation by Spring Baptist Church family almost tripled the highest number of boxes we had ever given before. In addition, we got to hear testimonies and pray with other churches and individuals as they brought their boxes to our relay center. The volunteers who manned the relay station were amazing as they received the boxes, packed them up, and moved them to the trailer provided by Old Dominion to be taken to their next destination. We packed up over 3,000 boxes, and as we remember that one box can influence the lives of as many as 11 people, we are amazed and humbled at how God can use the smallest efforts for the glory of His Kingdom!
